This event is designed to help Secondary Schools get their junior development teams underway for the season. It gives schools the chance to finalise teams by testing individuals in a competition where they are playing players of a similar age from around the Region.
Some Secondary Schools remain with the traditional Year 9 & Year 10 Teams while others have moved on to creating Under 15 teams which fit the netball playing representative structure. Played over two Sundays in May the competition also helps the selectors of the Bay of Plenty Under 15 teams and the Centre Under 15 teams find any players who may have not had the confidence to trial to go to the Taranaki Under 15's in late June early July.
The First National Baywide Under 15 Event has been a positive way to launch the competitive development season for the Region.
