First National Baywide Open

This event is growing in stature among the region's club sides who now see the benefits of competition beyond their Centres occurring midweek indoors. The three week Qualifying Round commences on May 29th at the Mount Action Centre. The added bonus with this event is that it gives the two Under 19 and the top Under 17 sides the chance for exciting competition as part of their preparation for their respective events. Many of these talented players then join club sides as the rules permit during the actual competition phase of the event.

Once the teams have played the qualifying rounds the competiton groupings are determined with a top division and a second division. The aim for the second division is to play the bottom teams in the top division for the plate final. This approach sees a lot of competitivenes in the final round between the two divisions.
