Q1. Umpire A is controlling the Centre Pass. It is Black's Centre Pass and Umpire B controls the Black Team attacking end. Black Centre steps out of the Centre Circle onto one foot and loses her balance and then regrounds her grounded foot outside the Centre Circle . She is now fully in Umpire B's controlling end. Which Umpire penalises the stepping??
A. Rule 3.1.6 (iii) The umpire who is controlling the Centre Pass is responsible for penalising infringements by the Centre taking the Centre Pass while the player is within the Centre Circle. In this case Umpire B would be responsible for penalising the footwork infringement see Rule 3.1.6 (i).
 

Q2. When is a pass a short pass?
A. When there is no room to move between the hands of the person passing the ball and the person catching the ball at the time the ball is passed.
 

Q3. Is flapping your hands in front of a shooter OK even if you are 0.9m?
A. This will generally be seen as intimidation and will be penalised with a penalty pass or shot.
