A Fantastic Volunteer From Kawerau - Beverly Southee

Beverly Southee, affectionately known as 'Bubba', offers so much time and support to her young players from Kawerau College. Not only did she coach them in 2009 to be runners up in the B Grade at the Upper North Island Secondary Schools she also drove Melissa Niao to every Open Blue training session held in August & September. Bubba has already begun 2010 by getting her young players to training for the Bay of Plenty Lois Muir Challenge Squad. her support of these young women is just so incredible and without her many would not have had the opportunities that thery have had over the past 7 years! Beverly was recognised as a New World Community Volunteer at the 2009 New World Awards.
